"Bro. They were always gonna release a special edition, donut Themed, bakers dozen boxset. The whole gag smacked of branding—not a criticism by any mean just a fact. Just like the band has picked other special shows to remaster and offer as drygoods (guyutica, alpine 2010 etc) the impetus for the bakers dozen dry goods release I can guarenteed was planned from the very beginning completely independent of anybody liking, or not liking the original nite of concert mix. Obviously you would take special events in their history and pick them for remaster. And nobody should expect the same quality from something that is made available the same nite of concert. They will continue to do this and it will have no correlation with your complaints. Most people (until you popped up again for the third year in a row) had been saying they noticed a positive difference in the mix, I thought stateline sounded amazing from a mix standpoint. The open spaces of the gorge apparently were not as easy to lock in becusse I did notice a slight decline. But I have plenty of confidence. "

"Good playing, but honestly the sound of Fish's kit is terrible. The mix of the band in general sucks. That is the sole reason the organization is re-releasing the Baker's Dozen for $550 because they had to remix the shows due to the poor product they released the first time around. It has been a real issue since 2015, and the LivePhish releases have been garbage, mix-wise, in that time. Fish's kit sounds like S**T. It truly ruins the enjoyment of listening to the show since his snare, kick, toms, overly loud high-hat, overly mixed in overheads, etc. are mixed poorly. I don't know if it is the digital board, the engineer who just sucks, or his kit in general, but when he switched to the Yamaha kit, his sound turned into garbage. Think the band is playing well, I just find it funny we paid over $150 for Baker's Dozen, and in less than a year the band re-releases the same show remixed for $550. Why did they need to re-release a mutiltrack mix in the first place? Because the person who mixed the first one did a poor job, and it is blatantly obvious when you listen to these releases since 2015. Phish aren't the only band who are releasing garbage sounding recordings from Digital mixing boards."
