"Reflecting on the impression that this show has left upon me: Throughout the show, Trey really connects with a deep, songful melodic sense, perhaps of the finest quality of this phase of his career. I mark this as an all time show in that Trey doesn't waste a single note on that guitar. And come on, 46 DAYS->Antelope, and a Walls of the Cave that reverberates deep in memory as a notable version. Take heed of this one. Well worth it."

"People are so readicculus. "This show had no Jamming" wtf? The first 3 songs of set 2 were all 15 minutes with some real nice Jamming. Wolfmans had a nice mike led funk feel. Blaze on got real out there and even though golden age was botched it had a great jam. Walls was solid with a nice peak. B great encore. One of the better versions of bike they have ever done. Fuck the haters. All of these shows were great "

"@ August... yes yes.... 1993, of course.. that's what I meant.. I think I had 1996 in my head from one of the other LivePhish's, maybe Vol.12 or something, but I meant Tinley Park... That first disc is amazing, with Divided Sky, Sparkle, etc etc... I'm looking forward to more chatting but gotta go..."

"To @frank one last thing...you actually know more than you thought although you had the year wrong the livephish vol. 7 is the Tinley park show from August 14 1993...right in the middle of what I was referencing as the "legendary SOAM circular jams of August 93'". So Your on the money with that reference. If you don't already have phish on demand app grab it and go to August of 1993 and almost every other nite there is a crazy soamelt jam in the "circular jam style" where they are metaphorically (in my head at least) playing a musical version of being whipped around while tubing on a lake when your were a kid at summer camp . The jams are intense as they whip around the central core of fishmans explosive drum kit breaking beats and the band creates the sensation of the whole thing whipping around you in circles. Sooo cool. Many people actually think the best one of that August 93' period isn't even he Tinley one. But certainly one of the better ones. But that is def one of the best soams of all time. It's funny SOAM is axtually one of the few redeeming songs from Coventry too on a totally diff note and in a totally diff way as well. I mean that one leaves the type one territory quite quickly and quite literally. But anyway if your a huge fan of the Tinley SOAM check out the rest of that month from 93 for sure. I promise you'll be happy. Yea I axtually just looked at jam charts for SOAM and it so nuts the month of August in 1993 has seven jam chart certified versions with three of them being must hear yellow bolded versions. And Tinley is listed there but not even yellow so I think you'll be blown away. I think I remember the 8/26/93 Portland version being particularly crazy also two nights before Tinley on the 12th is another. But anything from that time period. Peace man. "

"Oh and hey frank. Even tho I was saying I felt for a while that YEM was overplayed I never hate on it...how can you really. It IS THE PHISH ANTHEM! It does a better job jam any other song of showcasing almost all the styles the band brings to the table. With the exception of a bluegrass section..lol. But really it's got everything, complicated composed parts, sweep arpeggios, deep fugue work, vocal harmonies, a bass solo, a piano/organ solo, jazzy interlude, bluesy section, ambient space section, the always present amazing drum work of any phish song :), special insider info kinda stuff like the meaning of and background story of the song and the diff lyrics and stuff, as well as the ever present vocal jam at the end. It just covers the whole gamut. Some people say fluffhead or the curtain but I say YEM is the ultimate phish song. I don't get the fluffhead analogy not cuz I don't like fluff , I love it, but because it had absolutely no improv to it. So how can a band that is so synonymous with improv have it's quintessential song be one of the only long songs (along with divided sky) that basically has almost no improv to it? I mean every versions certainly isn't the same but you know what I mean it's a highly highly composed song with multiple movements and so many chord changes I just have never understood how trey remembers what to play. And I'm a decent guitarist but I couldn't pull that off if my life depended on it honestly. Even if I had days and days to practice meticulously! And I really am decent. But that is one tune I just won't touch. I can play lots of famous songs note for nite. Stairway to heaven: no prob, actually easier than most people think. Fluffhead -not happening in this life time at least for me. Anyway peaceout "
