Where to begin ? AC/DC Bag. Remeber the ACDC Bag>Suzy G days ? Seemed when Trey called Bag out as the opener it set the tone for a great show !!! Quintessential Phish on this night in December of 97. This must have been a sleeper show.....reminds me of the show I saw at the Desert Sky Pavillion in Phoenix AZ in the summer of 98 which opened with AC/DC Bag and just became a ridiculous setlist..... when they broke out the she caught the katy after ghost.....small crowd in attendance. Can we get that one DAT ? The other one I would love to see on here is the August 93 first show at Red Rocks with the Divided Sky opener !!! Miss the band....Phan forever. Thanks for all the good times Trey, Mike, John and Page !!!

I can`t believe it`s been eight years to this exact minute that I experienced this show!
We were getting ready to leave Michigan to head to Dayton, my friend Dave; who had been to more shows with me than any other at the time, decided to stay behind. I told him to come, I had a good feeling about what was in store for us there. He stayed back and hit the books, I hit the road with some other friends.
Once at the Nutter Center, Jon who had Dave`s ticket, found another in the lot before heading in. I knew Dave had slipped - this never happened to us. But it did and we all were holding tickets, so Jon gave it away quick.
Well needless to say the show was legendary. I doubt if anyone can put in words what it felt like to be there that night. I will not claim any show as my favorite as there were so many, so significant for different reasons.
Dave, you missed out man. Trey, Page, Fish, Mike and all your crew, --- Thanks for everything

This show is definitely a good one, but I`m not so sure it`s worthy of being considered one of the best ever. In fact, the only thing that makes this show stand out in my mind is unique setlist. On this night, Phish kept their funky jams short and concise. That being said, I`m a big fan of the Psycho Killer, It`s Ice > Swept Away > It`s Ice, TFTB, Tube and subsequent Dayton Jam, Slave, and a really funky and fun Boogie on Reggae Woman. You won`t be disappointed in purchasing this funky show, but once again, I think there are better shows on this site.

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! This show is hands down my absolute favorite Phish show. My favorite Phish years were between 94-97 and this one is hands down my absolute favorite. I still get goosebumps everytime I listen to Slave and Guyute. Of all the Phish shows I own those two songs are my absolute favorite from any show. BUY THIS SHOW!!!

The thing about this show--It sounds GREAT. Summer is coming and Lordy how i`m, and probably all of you are, jonesing for great show. So why not settle for a download?? So here we go. YEAH from what you read 97 was the year of the funk and in this show it grooves from the get-go. There are no pauses in the first three selections. The Ac/DC jam quickly melds into Psycho killer and the band lays the funk down. Then it`s in the Jesus song and OMG you know the band is having a great time. It`s like you`re getting second set performance in the first set. ANd yeah it does get better than that.
MMGAMOIO great surprise to hear that. Only ever time i`ve heard it is on tape from the middle ROXY show 93. HEY LIVEPHISH WHERE IS THAT SHOW MY TAPE IS SO WORN! ICE>Sweptaway is very cool. Don`t be skeptical. The swept away is gorgeous. TFTB is fairly standard, but a great run through nonetheless. The funk comes back strong in TUBE and runs all the way through the JAM. Slave closes the first set during which Trey`s wearing his heart on his sleeve for y`all in the house that drove from who knows where to get there. Beautiful job guys.
CAN the second set top the first? Well naturally it does... Timber is great (though i prefer the 95 show on LIVE PHISH I, that whole second set is just amazing). Wolfman`s BRO is a great laid back time. Smoke EM if you got IT cause you`ll need it when it segues into Reggae Woman which spends it`s last moments reminicing the earlier set`s jamming. And Reba? Always love hearing that song, one of the first songs that got me into the band. I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR THE ONE FROM THE ROXY 93 AGAIN :) Guyute is cool, but i have to admit i`m not a huge fan of this song. It`s ROCKS though for the rest of you. And finally POSSUM. This one is a KING Possum since you asked me. If i wasn`t dancing all over the furniture I would have been on the edge of my seat. It great to hear Trey picking so well with band backing him up telepathically as they repeat the jam sections and come to exploding climax after climax. PHISH is better than sex (most of the time).
Ah Day in the Life. My buddy and I were dosed at Red Rocks in 95 when they played this one for the first time. Thanks for the what memories i have left... (ROXY ROXY ROXY ROXY) peace y`all the paw
