one of my most re-played shows...very glad to be in attendance at this one. I saw 8 shows in 97 and this one still gives me chills

Yo, old school. totally agree with you on the Euro '72 tour release thing. But even if they are gonna do that with 97, thats a hell of a lot more shows then just 22. So they have to mix down and master all those two track SBDs. It will take a while. Phish is still a band that knows how to market themselves, and since they're already releasing Chicago '94 this summer, i'm sure within a year or so we'll be hearin about something like this bein done to '97. have faith man, the boys will get on it.
It would also be great if they would release more shows from Japan '00. Those need to be heard in crisp quality and all i can find is grainy fan tapes.

As someone that saw most every American show from Lexington (fall) '96 through the end of summer '99, I know first hand what a shame it is that the whole tour hasn't been put up for download. The Auburn Hills show is as good or better than Dayton and was the night before. Top 5 Tweezers ever. Period. Champaign was unreal as well. If the Dead can put out all of Europe '72, then why can't we have all of fall '97 just to download??????

One fine show no doubt. Although I'd rather have Auburn Hills 12/6/97 or Cleveland 12/5/97. Please release those someday. Pretty please.........

Of all the Phish shows I've seen, this stands at the very top. Just an outstanding show from start to finish. We'd driven to Dayton that night from Champaign, IL.
Highlights were the Psycho Killer, Tube and subsequent jam, Slave, Boogie On, and the best Guyute I've ever seen.

So now that the Hampton/W-S shows have been released along with this gem, can we just be honest with ourselves? Fall 1997 was the best tour Phish EVER did.......Salt Lake, Denver(this night), Champaign, Hampton (both nights), W-S, Hartford, Cleveland, Auburn Hills, Dayton, Albany (both nights). WOW These are all-time classics. For me Champaign, Hampton (night 2) and Dayton take the cake. Not to bash the current offerings from Phish (2009-2011 are cookie cutter tours) but this is what true fans want to see and hear.
For me, I've listed the 5 best jams of this tour:
1. Haley's-Hampton 2. Tweezer-Auburn Hills 3. 2001>Wofman's-Champaign 4. Gin-Winston-Salem 5. Tube>Jam-Dayton
LivePhish -Thanks for following up on the requests on this site.

I'm pretty sure that tweezer from hampton 97 is longer than 6 minutes, I just listened to it and it was 11 minutes
