Hands down the best show opener I've ever seen. The AC/DC Bag>Psycho Killer is SICK!The band was flawless!! Mike's bass was THUMPING that night. Of the '97 funk shows, this one was my favorite. Wolfman's>Boogie On was PURE FUNK! YOU MUST ADD THIS SHOW TO YOUR COLLECTION! The sound is amazing!

This is one of the rare times when i would say that the first set is better than the second! The highlights are ACDC Bag > Psycho Killer > Jesus, Theme from The Bottom, Dayton Jam > Slave, and Possum. I`d say a pretty above average show.

please archive these. these two are shows that phish phans should not be deprived of truly sick show Saturday, December 6, 1997 The Palace, Auburn Hills, MI Check: Dog Gone Dog, AC/DC Bag, Ginseng Sullivan, Black-Eyed Katy Set I: Golgi Apparatus, Run Like An Antelope, Train Song > Bathtub Gin -> Foam, Sample in a Jar, Fee > Maze, Cavern Set II: Tweezer -> Izabella -> Jam -> Twist -> Piper, Sleeping Monkey > Tweezer Reprise Encore: Rocky Top
Saturday, July 26, 1997 South Park Meadows, Austin, TX Set I: Limb by Limb, Dogs Stole Things, Poor Heart, Stash, Billy Breathes, Cars Trucks Buses, Dirt, You Enjoy Myself -> Izabella Set II: Timber (Jerry) > David Bowie, Harry Hood -> Blister in the Sun Jam -> Harry Hood -> Free, Waste > Johnny B. Goode Encore: Bouncing Around the Room, Cavern Show Notes: The second set included the first-ever Blister jam, with lyrics, and an unfinished Hood that segued nicely into Free. The entire show featured Bob Gulotti on a second drum set. Listen closely for Willie the Pimp (Frank Zappa) teases in YEM just before the segue into Izabella.

strongly disagreed this tube cannot compare to the new years run version. the reprise is sick however this tube just doesnt copmare

Having compared this night`s "Tube" (and the "Dayton Jam") to 12/29`s, this is definitely better. 12/29 overall is a better show though -- especially coupled with 12/30. Damn, I miss that `97 FUNK. Looking for next year...

great show!!! still have the vintage maxell xl-IIs of this one. I`m definately waiting for the release of 12.6 (Auburn Hills) and 11.19 (Champaign) although I doubt they will because in Champaign, fishs kick drum head fell off during taste and it took a minute to fix. still a great show from in my opinion the peak period of you-know-who

I can`t believe I missed this show by one night. I saw them for the first time the night before at the Palace which in my opinion was comparable with show in regard to the level of greatness.
I can`t believe I have waited until now to download this show. Years ago I originally had this on tape but lost it. I quickly listend to the bag>killer and I fell on my face. After that I skipped to the Tube and then fell on my face again. Absolutely no buyer`s remorse.
My wish is that LivePhish will release the night before at the PALACE OF AUBURN HILLS 12/6/97. All I can say is isten to the Bathtub Gin>Foam and then the second set with Tweezer>Isabella which is in my opinion as notable as anything from this period.

Well, looking at this set on paper I thought it wasn`t going to be a mind blowing show. I was mistaken. The Tube > Dayton Jam is unbelievable and same with the Theme. One of my favorite shows now
