6/7/2009 Susquehanna Bank Center, Camden, NJ

Show of the year! Better than 8/14, 8/16 and 6/10. So many great reasons to listen. This would've been my first show, but I could'nt make it and had to go with Merriweather (which is great in its own right, too!). Sand is the definate highlight, im obsessed with this jam. Tweezer is exellent. Fee (with jam!) and Chalkdust are great. Wolfmans is amazing. Both tube songs are awesome. Not to mention an absolutely stacked encore. Peace.

So, Camden and Knoxville were two of the best shows I saw during Leg I. I did Camden,Asheville,Knoxville,Bonnaroo and St.Louis. And after listening to the shows I couldn't make, Camden and Knoxville were the two best shows for May-June, and if you compare the two shows, they have a very similar flow to them. This is a fantastic show from start to finish: creative and high energy first set(exactly like Knoxville), and a wonderfully flowing second set(just like Knoxville). I hope to see them play Sand a couple more times this Fall - in response to the person who said this was the best Sand ever - you are wrong! Check out the 40 min Sand>Quadrophonic Toppling from Big Cypress - hands down the best Sand they have(and most likely ever will play) - however, it's a song I'd love to see in the regular rotation. Camden was a great show, unfortunately the only appearance of Sand this entire year.

I agree this show is good out of June tour. I like most of what I heard anyway, but I went to fenway, all three jones beaches, and this show, and I think that the 6/5-third night of jones beach is just as good and a real gem out of the first part of summer tour. Its a really good show from start to finish. The Buried alive is killer, an aggressive ac/dc bag, nice I didnt know, smooth Ya mar and then a great My friend and one of the best Theme from the bottoms Ive heard in a really long time with a very tight syncopated climax to the nicely grooved jam...Then a really funky boogie on reggae women and a decent SOAM. 2cd set was a dream for me after searching for the few times phish has either teased a santana song or played a full jam, they played a nice DWD segued into a twist with the first FULL Oye Como Va jam (entire song played by trey including intro, chorus, and solo) since I believe 1994. It was so seamlessly executed. But enough about that. This show is great too, just thought I would mention for anyone who hadnt heard it.

   The bottomline  (9/5/2009 9:35:21 AM)

Ive read these for years and never posted and never thought I would....but after listening to everything they are playing - The Sand and Tweezer are two of the best songs they have played since they have been back PERIOD!

   Best show May-June   (8/30/2009 9:34:52 AM)

Maybe not better than 8-14-8-16, but definitely better than anything on the June tour, and I have every single show. I went to 3, and this was by far the best of that 1st summer leg of the tour and surprisingly, better than any other jam was Tweezer, Fee and SAND! Last 5 minutes of that version are orgasmic . . .imho

   18 Tubes and Counting  (8/26/2009 4:53:57 PM)

I can pull tube after tube, time after time and feel fine. I can.

This First Tube however may be the best tube.

It swirls, builds, picks up steam, adds momentum, shifts shape, and just grows and grows until it explodes. It has more mojo than any other version of First Tube I have ever heard. You will agree, unless you already do. If that's the case, let's go from the first to the last and then count our way backwards down the number line. All together now. What else?

Packed in. Tight. Thick. Ready for your first tube? Ignite!

   I feel the symptoms  (8/22/2009 8:48:59 PM)

Sweaty palms. . .dilated pupils. . .must be burried in the ocean. Best Sand ever played by Phish! Period. End of Sentence.

best jam of the tour(sand), best encore of the tour, best show of the tour
