"This show has some rust, but it also has a raw feel to it that comes through in Treys effect laden guitar playing and the band taking jams in different directions like Blaze on, bathtub and character. "

"Phish blew the notion of a festival set out of the water tonight! Rough start to the first set but I think that just a lit a fire under Trey's ginger ass. Page was the clear MVP of set one, slapping the ivory every chance he could. Pretty standard run-throughs of everything until Tube when the chairman took the reigns. Great funk jam!!! 555 was well-played and then Page explodes again in the back side of It's Ice. A must hear for sure. The second frame of this show is the epitome of why I traveled 1000+ miles and sat in 107 degree sun all day. Punch was a great opener, although a little sloppy and Trey skipped a whole segment. Blaze On was well-played and had a nice blissful jam off the back of it and Fuego reached similar climax as well. Trey really seemed to be fired up. The set was flowing nice without any huge bombs yet. Then comes the Ghost>Gin. This is arguable the best half hour of music from the summer. The Ghost is pure melodic bliss. All four were locked in and working as one organism. Around the nine minute mark Trey is just firing audible laser beams that seeped into every ear hole and liquified brain matter on contact. Beautiful peak into a perfect segue into Gin. This Gin, while maybe not Magnball level, is pure Phish through and through. There are three distinct different jams with deep space, soul searching, inspirational and mind melting playing by every member of the band. Deep, dark jamming before Trey comes in again with another roaring blissful peak. Possibly the jam of the summer. The only other contenders would be Great Woods Light or SPAC Chalkdust, but this might take both. Can't stress enough ow good this 1-2 combo is. Number Line was a nice cool down and then Trey actually took a fucking solo in yem!!!, melting what little about of our faces that were left after Gin, into a massive puddle of skin on the Virginia dirt. great set.... Thanks Phish. See you all at Dicks!!!"
