"How bout this Mack. You stop telling people that are way better at what they do than you'll ever be in anything in life- how to do their jobs. Most bands barely make it at all not to mention exist for 30 years like phish has. Trey and ever other member has earned the right to do whatever the flying f*** they want to on the side. And just to give you some insight, just like the dead with jerry, phish would not still exist by now if the band members didn t have a chance to express themselves in other mediums other than just always a quartet with the song catalog they have established. At a certain point musicians and artists need to do some other stuff to stay interested in what they did that made them famous to begin with. I think phish is healthier from trey and mike especially both having thriving bands that they actually end up getting some material from and whatnot. Not to mention that on top of all this I was making my point from the assumption that your correct in your commentary -the true facts are that again just like JGB compared to the dead, ther have been times in phishstory history where TAB shows have been every bit as good as the phish shows being played in the same time period. Especially this 2003 tour is exceptional. . It's just phenomenal and I don't know how one could be a phan of jam music and like phish and not like this TAB music. It's fine if you like phish more but I just don't know how you couldn't enjoy this too? I prefer phish overall sure but I enjoy every moment of this stuff. "

"trey should stick to playing with phish(gordon, mcconnel, and fishman...., and dont play so many god damn notes at certain times, just weave in and out the other guys (gordon) it just annoys of how the tremednous flow that the rest of the band blends so well with. not to mention ur my favorite in the band cause i play guitar and u do so much cool shit that energizes me.... "My first question was where the heck was everyone did every fan living in the east coast have something better and more important things to do then go see Trey. I swear i didnt see one single finger in the air the entire time i was walking around outside the show. Not only that it was the first Trey show i`ve ever been to where not one single person tried to sell me anything and i seriously mean anything including those ugly tye dye vendors who sell 3 shirts for ten bucks and the ghetto guys who live near every venue and go to the shows to sell portabello mushrooms and oregeno tied around a bamboo skewer and when these guys dont show up you know the terrorists have won, sorry ive been on this blaming everything on the terrorists thing lately my mom will be like `` Tom who downloaded all this pornography onto my computer " , "Oh it must have been a terrorist porn hack they do it cause they hate Americans ". Anyway if New York is supposed to be this openminded music loving town where the heck was everyone this amazing night . I do enjoy it though when scalpers get stuck with stacks of tickets it was great seeing kids walk by scalpers and asking them if they needed tickets. Well first off they should never have re released tickets to this show the floor was so tight that if you left to get a beer or take a piss i spent most of the forst set towards the back where all the barflys and show talkers were hanging out ( a show talker is a person who goes to every show but talks to all his "kids" the whole show. But after all this i still found a spot to get down to a pretty amazing tour opener . I am a big fan of curlews call and this one was just dripping i always love hearing the first song to any tour opening show cause any time you havent seen the band in a while you forget how great they are and as soon as Trey starts tuning up a bit and you know whats about to come you get pretty darn excited it`s like something in your brain just clicks like oh yeah now i know why im here .. cayman was good it`s a song i dont see changing to much it`s an old standard and whatever i still think it`s a pretty darn good song being that the summer is coming up soon and i cant wait to read the reviews ..Come on whats to say about simple twist up Dave there has never yet been a bad version of this song and this version was tight. I must say there are some versions of this song from previous shows that are so insane I cant even imagine the band ever being able to top . flock of words is such a great song i remember when trey played it in Burlington during that insane thunder storm with the vermont youth orchestra kids and that show was when i realized how great this song really was i remember one of the kids from the orchestra came back out to where i was dancing after the the song and standing next to me and i couldnt believe how calm this kid was. I was like man you almost just made me cried that was amazing and he was like thanks then he left to go get a fried dough. The last tube is always a good set ender cause this is when Trey wants you to feel your getting your moneys worth for the show. there was some serious guitar riffs that i can only say Trey has never played before on this take and i suggest puutting this one on high volume in your car. Set 2 Mr Complety just keeps getting better and better .If Mr completly was a high school senior he would win most improved cause that song has gone through such changes since it`s birth that i am really amazed every time i hear it. Next was makisupa oops excuse me windora bug . I love this song this was a long one and a particulay strong version. Now here comes the new batch of cookies Trey has been preparing all winter i know a lot of people were expecting these songs to be a lot more ripping and not so slow dont complain because you might light up a ciggareteor sit down but once you get home and start to listen to these songs or while your driving to work youll really appreciate how good they are.Drifting might be one my all time favorite TAB songs when i hear this song i just picture myself driving in a convertable with the top down along a costal road with the wind ripping through my hair and not having any particular place to go just somewhere..Olivia was standard . First tube was tight short and fast ladies dont get any ideas. Alive again was a good set ender and also gives Cyro a time to show the audience how truly nutty he is, good version nothing to write your friends about but very good indeed . Now i kind of had an inside tip about a possible Led Zeppelin encore cause my friends at the waterwheel said they were sound checking Zeppelin covers all afternoon .I sear to god i didnt know mike came out untill waiting in line the next day thats how quick it was i swear to god me and every one else in the back row didnt even know what happened mike on aq segway other than h2o what? tomwalsh1255@yahoo.com"
