"I can't believe "Mr Completely" totally off the wall insane, it's the best jam I ever heard. Thank you guys, it's one of my all time favorites. "

"I was there for this show, also my first bonnaroo. Overall it was very cool, and there are several songs I keep coming back to for inspiration and the memories. The orchestra opening was much-anticipated and interesting; my favorite parts were the Prologue, Coming To, and Flock of Words (esp FOW b/c with the orchestra and Jennifer singing with Trey really takes it to otherwise unreachable heights, one of the most beautiful songs of the weekend, and it comes out great through the download). Guyute was really cool, as it was testimony to the fact that so many of phish`s epic songs really are arranged like orchestral pieces. After a few listens, I can think of some things that I would have built or arranged differently, but in that field it was pure bliss for everyone (hear that crowd?!). One of my favorite parts of the first set was hearing someone observe, "Well, this is the first time I`ve smelled pot at an orchestra performance!" You know it! Near the latter half of the first set the orchestra kinda flubs (esp the piano on Secret Smile), but this is understandable given that they probably didn`t have much rehearsal time (trey doesn`t live in Tennessee!). As for the second set, there are a number of faves: Sing a Song, Alive Again>Night Speaks to a Woman (really tight transition, really impressed me how it just instantly happened w/out someone having to lay down an overly obvious riff to get everyone on the same page). DWDTG also very good. Check out the horn arrangements on Sultans of Swing, very unique and effective. Push On `Til the Day is my favorite from this show, that riff is just so inspiring, and check out Jennifer on the trumpet (that chick rocks, and she blows Black Dog out of the water, too!). Small Axe is also very cool, short but sweet; great song to follow POTTD. Last Tube and Ether Sunday are also very good. Final verdict: a very interesting show with some real gems, and it will likely be the last time (for at least a while) that Trey works with an orchestra in concert. I`ll give a B+/A-, but really download it if you find orchestral music intellectually stimulating and want to get a rare glimpse into Trey`s musical world. And especially download this before you download Trey`s 2005 Bonnaroo set (when it comes out), as 2005 was a big letdown, not just for me, but for virtually everyone who was standing around me in the middle-back of stage right. Even despite the fact that people started the most incredible glowstick war I`ve ever seen at the start of the show (they thought that it would be worthy of such a thing). I was crushed, and left after 4 songs. Bonnaroo 2004 is where it`s at w/regard to Trey`s bonnaroo sets."

"guess trey was trying to piss a little art and culture into our ears. i don`t want to say i was dissapointed... so i won`t. my expectations were very high, and of course, trey will do as he pleases. i just hope the next time he needs to scratch an itch it doesn`t make me yawn and want to take a nap."

"Great weekend! Second time going, and had a much better time this year! The rain was awesome Saturday night, made it like a real camping trip, didn`t care about seeing the dead in the mud, so it made Randolph extra fun and sloppy! Still can`t believe how nasty this trey set is though, great show to have, cus it`s phish but classical, F-ING AWESOME DUDE! The prologue track rules! Great Devil Went down to Georgia. No hudge killer parts of any jams, but not sloppy at all. The best version I`ve heard them cover of black dogg so far! Can`t go to Bonnaroo this year, due to college (School stinks), but who knows, with out Phish and Bonnaroo this summer, maybe I can start out my first semester with a dollar to my name?"
