"I often liken Phish to an on again-off-again relationship. Here, it's as if the first few shows of the tour were sort of tentative, feeling each other out, taking time to get reacquainted, and by the time they got to this show they were ready to get DOWN AND DIRTY! Yes, there were a few flubs, but they were mostly on classic tunes on the rarer side, songs that didn't get much play over the past decade. I'd much rather they take a little risk and play songs like Fee and The Lizards than not try them at all. Besides, if you were at the show, the Fee lyric flub was kind of funny, and instantly forgiven by the sometimes tough to please Camden crowd, the bonus, ambient type outro jam didn't hurt! Both tunes were welcomed and entertaining despite their imperfections. I have to say the Wolfman's Brother from this show was exceptional. It's some of the best Type I jamming I've ever heard from the band and has been a go to favorite of mine since the show. The funky build, Mike's super-ill bass line and awesome funkidelic climaxes make this one really great for me. 46 Days was in a similar vein as the Wolfman's in terms of its solid Type I kick ass jamming, with Trey laying on the tasties over Mike's killer bass line. The Wedge was really nice with its springy syncopating jamming fairly tight and pleasing..one of the better version from the past decade. Guytue was powerful and quite good for a tough piece to play. Tube was played by request and it was a pretty tight and funky version with Page's clav and Mike's slap hooking up nicely...quality. First Tube was also very good and a kick ass way to end the set. The sun went down and the sencond set opener, Sand was like a journey into the murky nightime sea, in search of something...traveling here, traveling there, finding signs, a spark here a spark there, tantalizing, building tension and anticipation, then soaring, fluttering about and ultimately hooking into a whale of a jam that provides an energetic resolve of the tension that had previously built up. GREAT stuff and it helped further reinforce the feeling that the boyz were truly back. Pretty solid versions of Suzy, Horse>Silent, Char Zero, the birth of Joy ans Sugar Shack, a killer Tweezer, four song encore with an inspired Tweeprise, complete with Trey stomping to close it out... This show had one of the best First sets of tour and the Second set brought the heat too. Lots of HEAT with some short, well placed chill songs...the show had a really good organic flow and energy. The band seemed to really ring it and go for it on pretty much every tune. A GREAT show to see live with high replay value. Oh man, that Wolfman's is SOOOO good. FWIW, The Livephish recording isn't the greatest. This would be a good candidate for a remastered release, with more BASS (Mike and Kick drum), more crispness and live presence and resonance....this seems over compressed. "

"Sand. Tweezer. Wolfman. Best show of the summer. It makes me happy to see such great product being delivered in Philly. After seeing Wachoviax2 (specifically, 11.24.09), i feel comfortable saying that they are delivering the same quality they did in 91. Hate on me for saying that. I could care less. This band keeps finding ways to impress me. Thanks fellas."
