"The most amazing Reba! Dude, I’ve been waiting for this one. Today in Phish history: on Monday October 31, 1994 Phish played at Glen Falls Civic Center in Glens Falls New York. And yes, I was at that show! My only Halloween show to date and I chose correctly for me. #TheBeatles My ticket cost $18.50 plus Ticketmaster fees. This one is a little different for me from the other videos I have made. I’m talking about my writing because I remember this! I remember the time leading up to this. I remember Phish accepting submissions for the costume they were going to play that night. I remember the talk on phishnet and the wagers that were made. I remember a lotta talk of Pink Floyd, I do remember some talk of The Beatles and of course there were those few who were for sure certain they were gonna do Grateful Dead! I was with Kaley lol of course cuz it was 1994 and we were in college together. Other people went with us but I don’t remember who. I don’t remember who’s car we drove. This might’ve been when we borrowed our friend Dan’s car that we met at Stabler on October 7 and then went to Virginia, I don’t remember. But we drove from Mansfield Pennsylvania up to Glens Falls New York, and I tell you it was a 4-5 hour schlep! Got there and it was dark, I had a tiny piece of paper and we were not in costumes mind you, but I remember seeing Phish characters come to life in front of my eyes and for lack of a better term, it was quite trippy. I remember: multiple slave to the traffic lights, a few Telas, a lizard or two, a Fluffhead with white long shaggy hair, I saw the Mound bar before the costume contest and was impressed, so yeah I definitely cheered for the mound bar, a 67 Electrolux, a Reba, an Esther. I want to discuss the costumes. Who was there and who were you dressed up as and who do you remember seeing? I don’t regret not dressing in a costume because comfort is of the upmost importance for me at all times, but especially when I am at a Phish Concert. I was today years old when I learned the guy who passed out those chocolate gold coins was Trey! I saved the gold foil for a couple of years, but I don’t have it anymore. We were on Mike side, up to the back to the right. It’s funny, I know we went with other people but I only ever remember being inside of a show with Kaley, anyway. The room went crazy when they opened with “Frankenstein.” Like, yep it’s Halloween kids! Soooo many highlights as I had this show on tape then the LivePhish CD and now the app. This “Divided Sky” still makes me cry. Them phucking with us in “Harpua.” Dudes know how to commit. You have to remember the Internet wasn’t as easily accessible in 1994 as it is in 2023 so we were all figuring it out together in real time and that in itself was a trip. Dude I could keep writing and writing about this show, but there are not enough character spaces on social media platforms, so who’s got me a publisher for my book, lol? But seriously I have a lot to say. The floor was shaking a lot but definitely during the vibration of death. Civic center you know, not very stable. For the record I almost missed Fishman‘s streaking because you guessed it, my eyes were closed. Kaley was elbowing with me saying “Stace open your eyes, Fishman’s naked!” It felt like the show was over at 3 AM but it could’ve been a little bit earlier. I don’t think we stayed in the lot too long because it was so late and we had to get back to school so we loaded into the car headed south. We parked on the side of the road for a little while to sleep and made it back to Mansfield for my 9:30am class. I ran in and signed the attendance sheet and turned in my assignment, then ran back to the car got dropped off to my apartment and crashed lol. Oh, those were the days. "

"The year is 2022. Started listening to phish in 2015. First show 2019. This Reba from 1994 absolutely just floored me…just when you thought you’ve heard it all "
