"Saw Roger Waters Wall in Las Vegas this weekend, arguably the biggest rock show out there today. Our Phish shows blow it away hands down. Great job guys glad your back."

"Beauty is in the eye (ear) of the beholder... I have had the oppertunity now to collect oppinions and experiances for this show... including my own. 1) After the 2 preceeding nights awesomeness and some good ticket luck we were able to bring a friend to the last night at Broomfield. A mature, live show savy, old Dead Head and this was his second true Phish experiance. He sat on the inside of our group next to a thirty something couple. Being a freindly guy he turned to them during set break and asked... so what did you think? A huge discusion insues..."seriously worst set ever" were her words and "I'm done with Phish, done..." were his. Our friend, older savy show but not much Phish guy, asks /implies "are you sure it's not just the drugs?" to which she cries "I just found out Im 2 months pregnant! I'm not on any drugs!". 2) Our friend, older savy show but not much Phish guy, found out later that another friend of his was at the show with his son who I think is college ageish. They only went to this 3rd night in Broomfeild. I guess the father, being from the NE had seen some Phish many years before but not much. Anyway... OSSBNMPG asked his friend "so what did you think of the worst Phish show ever?" to which his friend was confused.. "what?" he asked. OSSBNMPG quickly rephrased the question "so what did you think of the show?" Well I guess that the guy was so impressed that he decided/ was inspired to catch Phish in Mass while home for a visit. He had great time there too! He indicated that it was refreshing to hear something other than their "greatest hits"...refering to Broomfield #3 with delight. I will say a little more about this later. 3) The morning after the last night I awoke anctious to read our trusty Phish review website to perhaps get some validation in the way I/we was/ were feeling about the show. I was in shock as I read the words "... one-upping themselves" and so on. At first we questioned if the aurther of our fav Phish review site had even been to the show. He couldn't possibly have been to the same show we were at. Ahhh... but he was. I guess we (he and us) have a mutual friend. Our fav review aurthor was at the show! I'll be damned if he truly didn't look our mutual friend in the eye right after the show and said "we'll.. I think that was pritty good." Our mutual friend, not speaking up because he not as phishy as our phishy aurthor, felt as we had... fun first night, fabulous second, then hmmmm. 4) OSSBNMPG was very delighted with some parts of the show but confessed that "when they had me, boy they really had me! But when they didn't they really didn't!" Was it during Light or Joy when he asked "why did everyone just sit down?" Very perceptive OSSBNMPG. 5) At first I had a strong reaction. Internal of course, trying not to believe that for the first time I didn't enjoy my favorite band. I couldn't have been me!?!?! My fault?!?!? I knew it... After night 2 I turned to my Bf/bff and said "ok, I'm good let's quit while we are ahead... I got what I came for... How can it get any better? I get my mojo from seeing Phish and i got what I came for. Well i ended up being right but we jazzed ourselves up anyway... Now I like set lists but I mostly go by pheel and plow... neither of these were working for me that night. This has been my least fav since I started in '95 (so that you know I have some credability). Bummer. 2nd night Broomfeild was one of my favs. I would like to take this time to say that I have nothing against new songs. I loved What Things Seem and Alaska the 2nd night, although some of my friends do not care for the latter. I don't care... Alaska sounded great to me but then again that was the overall pheel of the show. Anyway, this is my collection of experiances for 10-12-10. I am not here to say that any of the above opinions are wrong but rather that they/we are all right. I hope this shows that beauty is truely in the eye (ear) of the beholder. Furthermore, I have decided not to post anything unless I feel comforatble posting it under my real name. I feel that it is far to easy to say stupid and hurtful things under a made up screen name. Phish... You are still my inspiration... Thanks for the mojo... best app EVER.. see you next time!! "

"I have an opportunity to see only four or five Phish shows per year. I would LOVE to hear what you guys thought of the actual show. Those of you who are comparing 3.0 to 1.0 have nothing to contribute to this forum. Don't you realize that what you've said - regardless as to whether you're knocking 3.0 or promoting it as the best resurrection since Jesus - has been said, in some permutation, at least a few thousand times in this forum? If you guys want to be a collectively broken record, it is what it is. But I know you have real views about the setlist, performance, lights, and scene that are far more substantive than "Shut up all you haters!" or "Get a life you losers. Phish will never come close to the mid-'90s ever again!" I'm a grad student in Boulder and unfortunately can't drive to the Northeast to see a litany of shows. So tell me how they WERE! Paint a picture. "

"Couple of things; 1. Thanks a lot Grace for taking care of us, you are a super cool cat. We'll see you next go around. 2. These shows were all very high caliber and intimate events, having seen these guys in different venues these shows were special. 3. If they don't play and expand the new songs they will become a retro act, and while some might like it, they would be bored shitless, so would I. 4. If you don't like the shows you might want to say to yourself "maybe I just don't get it". It's ok 5. You have to go to all of the days. There is something bigger here than just a one night gig. They treat these shows as a multi day event, weaving in and out bits from previous nights. The third night they were twice as loud to start as the other two nights. Thanks PHISH, for the 5 awesome shows I got to see this year. See ya next year. "
