"My first Phish show. I was hooked "

"Phish listens to there Phans! I requested the Long Beach Arena in my review of this Hollywood show last year (see older comments posted for the Hollywood Bowl show). Thank you so much for the Long Beach Arena show for the new summer tour 2012! The Long Beach Arena show will be my first Phish show that I've been able to walk to the venue from my house (excluding camping). Long Beach Pre Show Party! Phish you are invited. Very Grateful! - John"

"How do you know when you're a "real fan"? Does someone send you a badge or a patch or something?"

"Our day started in Venice Beach. My cousins came down from WA where they were at the Gorge. We then headed to the Grove for dinner and then onto the Bowl. Venue was amazing. The light show was the sickest I've seen. I've been going to shows since 1994. My cuz had an extra and people tried to hook it up in Venice but he was certain he could either sell it for face at the show or trade for a poster. Worst case he could miracle someone...When we got there, there was a ton of folks selling tickets and absolutely nobody with a finger in the air...He ended up with the ticket in his pocket as we headed into the show. No way this would have happened at the GORGE. I was caught off guard at how early they came out...but what a great way to kick it off. DWD...my cuz called it. Goosebumps and we were off...Thanks to TONYP for the coming down and hanging with some PURPLE. Kudos to Frank Zappa and the Peaches...NICE. I called the second set opener and was on my feet jamming for Carini and that LUMPY HEAD...My favorite tune is Weekapaug and the Groove was NICE although a little slow. Loved the Paul Simon cover...50 ways...My cousin heard them practicing that at the sound check up at the Gorge. Nice transition back into the GROOVE. I was disappointed with the Encore...Was really feeling Harry but you can't win em all. They wrapped up early...Would have been nice to hear a Doors cover as well...LA Woman was my wish. I would rate the show a 7.5 out of 10. But on a personal note...To be able to see a show with my cousins was priceless and a 10 of 10 experience. I will never forget our trip...Venice>Grove>Bowl "

"This was a good solid show. No there weren't the long jams, Yes the lights were amazing, and Yes the people in our party box were lame. But the band played really tight and did Hollywood right. To all of our Phamily, we'll see you in Denver."
