"Was a solid show. After she "sugar" rush went away and i had a chance to really listen, it just sounded like a tight and groovin show. Nothin to write home about, just a solid fun show. I would have to say the highlight for me was the jam out of light. That Manteca interlude was just crisp and smooth, like thats a surprise. Oh, and just as a personal note to the boys, STOP PLAYING BACKWARDS!!!!!!!!! That song is terrible. They always play it at the worst times and f*ck up their groove. I almost never find a complaint about anything the boys do, but it was so obvious to me at that show that it is just a terrible song. everyone around me either lit up a cig, sat down or stood there with their arms crossed. One of the guys standing next to me just kept asking his friends when it was gonna end. This was also the shortest version of Backwards they've ever done too. So i think maybe they are starting to get the hint. But in all seriousness, that song needs to go. Amazing night regardless."

"I had to relisten to the show before I posted a review to see if my exhaustion fooled my ears.. Now that I have I hate say it is an average show . I liked the song choices but I felt during the show and after listening that it lacked some real pop and was sluggish. Pretty much an early tour warm up show. Still good show, great night and killer venue, but not worth spending money on the download. "
I love this band..... — 6/21/2012 4:35:20 AM
"My first show in years (seen them around 20 times) and it reminded me again why I absolutely love this band. It was almost like I had forgotten what real fun is. As far as I can tell, the guys were having a blast on stage; smiling at each other, Trey pointing to (& even chatting with) the crowd, teasing songs & quoting others (throwing off the dedicated Phans). Too me it looks like the whole band is having as much fun as ever (playing as much for themselves as they are for the crowd). As for my show personally... I've seen Mikes Groove a number of times and it never gets old. I wanted to hear Silent in the Morning (which is one of my favorites). Obviously I thought it was coming after Trey starting playing "The Horse" and I was a little disappointed when he said he changed his mind. But, I got over it very quickly. I wasn't there on Sunday, but I noticed they played SITM w/o playing "The Horse" which tells me they are (1) mixing things up; & (2) still playing for the phans who are seeing all the shows). I love the Talking Heads; & Phish's cover of Crosseyed is one of my favorite covers from any band. Before this show, I had never have seen it personally (I have 5 different versions Crosseyed on my ipod). So, opening the second set with C&P gave me a second wind and even made me feel like they were playing "my show". So, I migrated very close to the stage (4 or 5 rows back - Page Side) for the first time all night for a very energetic second set. Antelope puts a big smile on my face every time I see it. I love watching the crowd as much as the band during... Favorite Jams: PYITE (as soon as it got fully dark) Sand (so much energy) Crosseyed -> Slave -> Light (basically the first half of the 2nd set) Suzy Greenberg Enjoyed Hearing: Crosseyed Possum Suzy Greenburg Lawn Boy ("Mr. Michael Gordon") Good Times, Bad Times "

"Great show. The Light jam was taken a totally different direction than normal (with a straight up Manteca section!), and really gets groovin. Still wish they'd jam on Gumbo and Halley's though. All in all a pretty funky show, which is alright with me!"

"best show of the run, they are playing really well and this show is a very good example of how they can listen to one another on stage still. people who are going to tout the 20 years of being with the band is no one i would have hung out with when i was on tour with these guys in the mid 90s. lets try and remember what type of terms are used here.. and if you have something musically intelligent to add to how trey should have play a more mezzo forte with a pizzicato feel during a song lets hear it at phish.net. but i bet only fraction of you could hold a real musical conversation like that with out throwing around "headie type II jamming yahh know brauuhh??" umm no i dont .. neither does the band cause they can read music too........... so enjoy your self at shows and try and not take your self so seriously about how you have seen the band 100000 times in your life , its nice to love a band but it sucks to hear people talk out of there ass and have other people take you seriously. have fun out there this summer everyone doing the tour! they sure dont make it so easy these days!!! KILLER SHOW!! "
