danced a jig — 7/13/2020 10:56:10 AM
"Relentless rain storm this night that continued from Moma and only abated shortly after Quinn. Guyute is the star of the first frame. Something about dancing to a jig in the pouring rain. Very Joyce. Second set is excellent, with arguably the best improv witnessed during Energy’s Summer 2013 rota. Drowned too was excellent, though it’s transition to WitS could’ve been done without imo (we know it’s raining T!) Fluff continued the Led filled night one. Excellent, must hear version. Fresh take on Piper hinted at its later emergence at Northerly and beyond at Halloween ‘13."

"Hey dada? what language is that? is it a funky anagram or something. I've been lookin at it for a few and can't see anything subliminal or hidden meaning. not putting u down just wondering where u r coming from. not trying to be mean so don't take it the wrong way."

"Everyone calm down...seen plenty of shows and comparing one show to the next has always been how it is...holding the band to a standard of excellence...I think what those who are downing anything are saying is that their level of perfection was not quite as good as it has been previous shows...not that the Atl. shows still didn't sound and feel amazing...The one show I would compare the second night Atl. would be Raleigh '97...and not just because of the rain and lightning plus drowned, h20 in the sky, energy (minus energy, don't freak out all)...although I love when THEY are aware of how much they're ripping it up...and the lightning and thunder always seem to do that... I was actually saying before the show it was going to take something big like someone running up on stage i.e. Nassau Coliseum '98 with the sickest glow stick war I STILL have ever seen during antelope... those kinds of things force Phish's hand to absolutely fuck our faces off..which they proceeded to do after Punch..one last thing, cheers to the guy that called Punch before they had even come back out on stage after set break love that s*** makes the show that much better when you have educated Phish fans surrounding you which seems to be the case in Atlanta... Energy was high.. check, crowd was chill..check, hallucinogens check, Mike Gordon in tight pants check, just mixing the ingredients for the perfect 'storm' of a show.. Not the best I've seen but better than I've seen in the last 5 years...hey, hey...check it out...check it out"
