"I'm so sick of people writing reviews and saying, "it's sick" or "it was so good". Wtf. That's not review. That's telling a friend at work what he missed in 5 seconds. If your gonna write a so called review, write something worthy and don't just say, " DWD was awesome!" Come on man. The fans on here are not looking for a review from "your opinion" they want facts. And we've all been to lots of shows. Don't have to explain and patronize like we're noobs. And that fan who adores backwards #Line has got to be kidding. It's the lamest thing phish has ever passed off as a song. The lyrics are so elementary. The jam is fine but we don't need those lyrics. And nothing will ever top Big Cypress for me or the band !"

"to set the tone, let's just say i started listening to this, and the first three tunes were such a really exceptional bunch of fun that i had to put it on hold 'til after i had other things to do. i mean, axilla opener is not a run of the mill opener these days, imo. i got the impression right away that the boys were announcing some serious fun. then gumbo kept it up, ending page clavinet solo. one of them funky keyboards. then taste came along and just kept things right in range. an unexceptional taste will blow a whole show for me. this show has some energy. i wasn't there so i don't know exactly, but if you can trade for a good tape or just go over to youtube, there's a good chance you'll hear a lot of singing, and not all of it coming from the band. phish and the mann singers, there's so much crowd involvement. that isn't par for the course in my book. so, i don't know what it was like, i can only hope it was good. i would have to think it was ok because it sounds like the band is having fun. i don't know. personally, i've seen philly both kind and cruel. i can remember this one summer, we were going to virginia. my dad wanted to stop some place in philly. it was like this rustic part of town. the food was good, but the vanagon got towed. then i can remember going to some festival down on the waterfront one year, i knew some people there, and everyone was nice. it's kind of like that everywhere. anyway, i just hope those singers were nice. phish isn't always a band i think of as having a lot of people singing in the audience. the energy is good. you get a pretty serious 555. it's starting to click for me. a couple reviews ago i was talking about how fuego would never be my cup of tea and now i'm thinking of tracking down some orange vinyl so i can listen to it weekends. i heard the mp3 freebie. you can tell there's stuff deep inside those grooves like looking into a hubble telescope. the performances are similar. so, hey, that's good news anyhow. now that i'm getting it a little better i can see how this record is so much like the boys stomping down the campaign trail in the rift era. i mean, suddenly i see it ain't that different. five shows in i can hear them putting a whole lot of great sound just right back to back. this show in fact really kinda shreds. it's like a new shred. for the post-"machine-gun" era. i think this must be the best phish album since whatever the last phish album you thought was strong was. there will be people who say billy breathes. others hoist. some, rift. nectar, lawn boy, and junta apply. a live one kinda stands outside the continuum, but that was really strong, imo. i think your realy choosy stalwart will want to say rift. your more velvet-based 'head would lean toward billy breathes. hoist seems green, but it fits the bill imo. so, you decide what it contains. fuego seems like a very strong record based on the live performances i've heard so far. you start to think there's something special about this show and then the camel-walk bust out sounds like nectar's. the halley's coment>it's ice is really kinda crushing. ocelot is a song that, whatever you think about it, i think i could hear it a whole lot of times without getting sick of it. it's been relatively heavy in the rotation, i think, but, i find that i always like it a lot. different phans experience different disappointments from time to time. i think some people might be getting over ocelot, but i'm not sure i ever will. this ocelot does not disappoint. second sets are getting subtle, i think. i liked ben's review for mentioning the big fuego. after hearing it i was surprised more people didn't talk about it. it's even actually a fuego>the line, and. it's pretty good. i kinda think the fuego rattled things up a bit and so the line wasn't quite as controlled as some versions I've heard. it's definitely the type of thing where you get past that right away if you have a nice tape of this show in your collection. second set big big big. twists and turns. 46 days... number line. tweezer. enjoyed ghost. maybe there was something where the ghost just didn't quite scratch my itch, but, enjoyment overshadowed any disappointment. tons of great moments. hood reminiscent of tour opener, but a special hood in it's own right. right down to the tweeprise and i had to think then i should have been there. it isn't such a long drive from winooski. tweeprise at the mann doesn't come along everyday. what gets me is that's a venue they haven't really played since 95ish or something. you know, it's like a nectar era venue in its own right. but, that's life. it's nice to have the tapes. kinda hard to write about this one, but i'm thinking of getting it. i might like it better than the spac opener and that was my favorite so far. i guess it would be nice to have since suzy flambé'd my lp of david bowie at the tower. happy phishin' everybody."

"The Fuego from 7/8, in my book, goes down as jam/improv of the summer tour. A strong case can be made for the 28 minute Randall's Island Chalkdust, certainly they're at the top of any short list. This Fuego, after hearing it played more than any other song this tour, moves way outside of the boundaries of the song itself into some of the tightest, most cohesive jamming of 3.0 - there were moments last Fall and Dicks 2012 certainly come to mind, but the Fuego stacks against anything they have played since Hampton 2009. What a tour, can't wait to hear what's coming this fall."
