Order CD Box Set or Download MP3 and FLAC of all 3 shows here Brand new eight-CD box set featuring three complete shows (February 17, July 1-2) recorded live at Paradiso in the Netherlands in 1997. The shows have been fully mixed and mastered from the band's multitracks. On February 17, 1997 Phish first played Paradiso, a converted former church turned rock-club/cultural center with a capacity of about 1500. Over the next four months, Phish logged three breakthrough shows at this historic venue where the intimate setting pushed the music to new heights again and again. From the Soul Shakedown party opener and fluid, psychedelic improvisation-clinic-of-a-set II (Down With Disease, Carini, Taste, Down With Disease) on 2/17/97 to the "back of the worm" Ghost opener, Reba and another peak transcendent Set II [Fish Keyboard Jam, Timber (Jerry), Bathtub Gin,  Cities] on 7/1/97 through the Mike's Groove Sandwich and must-hear Stash, Llama, Wormtown Jam plus the double encore of 7/2/97, these three shows spread over 8 CD's comprise some of the most experimental music Phish ever played. The three shows on the Amsterdam box, the only Phish shows to-date at Paradiso, combine to deliver the full impact of a shared peak experience in an exotic locale seamlessly integrated and sizzling with creative intensity.

"This is a very special show for me. Summer of 1997, my parent's had recently divorced, my father moving to Belgium. He invited my brother and I to visit him. I was 16, my brother 15. Before visiting, we saw that Phish was touring Europe the same time we were visiting. We begged our father to take us to any one of the shows. This was the ticket he was able to get. The Amsterdam vibe was lost on us. Yeah, we knew about the legal weed and the city's global reputation. But we weren't there for that. We were Phish nerds, obsessed with the band. We had listened to A Live One countless times at that point. We knew their albums inside-out. However, this would be only our second show. We were LivePhish newbies. I remember scouting the venue with my brother hours before the show. We knew where the band's tour bus was going to park and we camped out there all day, waiting for them to arrive. When the band finally showed up, my brother and I made our way up to the bus doors. The band got off the bus and all the planning, all the things I wanted to say to them, disappeared. I was star-struck, meeting my gods. I shook Trey's hand, told him I thought he was the best guitar player alive (cringe), Page made sure to greet me too (an impeccable gentleman). If I had the forethought, I would've lied and said it was my birthday and requested Stash (which they played the following night). But I didn't. I was just mesmerized to meet my idols. Listening to the show now, I realize how influential it would become to me later in my life. The Ghost, Cities, and Timber all stuck in my head, for years after the show, informing me in my own song writing. My father has since passed now. But we have this special moment enshrined forever. I listen to this show frequently, remembering the moments I've detailed. God bless this band and the lives they've touched."

"Phish was in their prime in the 90's. Not on only their studio releases are their best, but they never jammed better. I guess that goes for most bands. The first true decade is the pinnacle. Grateful Dead owned the 70's. Phish owned the 90's. The 7/1 show is my favorite from the Paradiso box set. And one of my favorite shows ever by the band. IMHO, ALL Live downloads should be multi track mixes. Massive difference."

"This Cities harnesses some King Crimson elements in the ambiance of the jam. I love this one. they don't jam it like they used to anymore"

"This ghost is so under appreciated. It’s very laid back but super funky and has some seriously awesome moments. Also the limb by limb is one of my favorites from the year, check it out!! "
