"This was my second show, I was 16 at the time, had seen the band once as a preteen and hated my first show. My father called me the morning of December 30, 2016 offering me a ticket, changing my life forever. Looking back as a seasoned phan heading to the sphere next week I’m envious of that younger version of me that walked into such an incredible show so cluelessly. Where I sat, what the band played, even how good the jams were, it was all irrelevant to me. While I hold some envy for this past version of myself that can never experience a phish show so blissfully and cluelessly ever again, when I listen back to this show I remind myself to always carry some of that same energy every time I walk into the venue, truly surrendering to the flow as some of you may say. This band has undoubtedly been the most important musical experience of my life for some years now and I still find myself returning to this night in particular, I highly encourage you to give that set 2 a full listen, and that light, wow."

"my first show... took too much, too fast and couldn't understand what was going on til halfway thru first set. all of the sudden i couldn't believe how much fun i was having. decided to take more during setbreak. all of the sudden during ghost i lost it. stripped off all my clothes and my glasses (i'm blind without them). rolled around naked. stood up feeling born again and i didn't know ghost had a break in it. ego trip took over, thought i ruined the show. friends dressed me up and i ran out of there no shirt on. covered in MSG sludge. smoked a joint. calmed down and listened to the set again. wish i stuck around for the rest of the show!"
