This was my first show since Rosemont in 2003 and I must say that I have never been more impressed with how well they played. The band seemed comfortable, carefree, and most importantly happy and enthused playing together. That showed in their performance. Solid first set with Moma, Wedge, Moon, and Wingsuit (my favorites from the set). The second set was just amazing. It was well textured and seemed to flow together seamlessly. The segue from Corona to Simple and Winterqueen was blissful (even with the Timber tease...which I thought was definitely happening). And then Scents with that crazy ambient/EDM bass bomb outro into Cities. The evolution of this band has, and is beautiful to watch. Keep it up boys!

Some of best phish since 09'. Some of best phish ever being played last few years. Almost no songs flubbed. Incredible level of musicianship and nice vocal harmonies. Nice flow to sets. I hope they only get better. I feel bad for the people who paid for the warmups when the bakers dozen is going to be so much even more amazing than he warmyos were.
Page side Rage Side
Is page using a different Hammond lately or is he just remember that late 90's organ sound he was tossing out. Yamar, blaze on, he's got that gritty organ sound again from the late 90's. Really blowing my mind. Probably it's just me falling in love more and more with this not possibly human zues like god. Page Side Forever!!! Come find me there, I'm the idiot losing his mind generally a level up from the floor. Waiting for my spaceship to blast, my spaceship, my spaceship blasting off. Man my rocket has incredible speed. So glad the boys are back!!!
Big Unit Monster
Listened to simple. Loved it. Listened again....liked even more. Great jams are like movies or books that you catch something new in everytime you check them out! The textures and movements/motifs they cover in the span of 27 mins in this simple is striking. And as opposed to some jams where the parts don't really make up a whole that's greater together (meaning one motif was just the best and many didn't work well together ), this jam really has an amazing balance and fluidity to it that impresses me. I like when simple is jammed. Its conducive to ambient space jams which are my fav!

After a gorgeous day on lake Michigan we stumbled into the venue to checkout night two of their three night run... We walked in during The Wedge because the entrance of Gate #2 was absolutely jam packed... Set One had some nice highlights, but the entire second set was just outstanding! Aside from the Simple jam, the final three songs were a huge highlight for me... My first ever Slave To the Traffic Light was worth the wait... Thank you so much for doing what you do best, Phish!

Tight first set. Very experimental second set. Nobody has mentioned the sick jam in Scents and Subtle Sounds with Mike dropping some huge bombs.
Nobody cares
what you think?? Fantastic show???? It's just that easy ??
Lifeboy
It is just that SIMPLE

Let's not get carried away, last night was a good show but nothing special, simple was a highlight and more is becoming a true crowd pleaser. Moma seemed extended with a nice jam at the end, light is officially overplayed. Overall a C. p.s. Still no gamehendge, I really think we're gonna get it (finally) at msg. It's time

been to countless shows since '95...this second set....Amazing. Simple, can't stop listening to it

Outstanding second set! A Corona debut for Phish, and then Simple, which was stellar. It explored all different kinds of musical landscapes and territories. The word epic is sometimes overused but in this case I think not. Epic Simple jam! The 27 minute Simple segued beautifully into Winterqueen which melded into Light. Light was shorter but still sweet as it segued seamlessly into Scents and Subtle Sounds. Another amazing exploration of another beautiful song. Their segues were very smooth tonight as we got another one into Cities, which the crowd loved. Then an always welcome Slave as the bookend to an epic set! Loving Cup encore and everyone was elated!

I hopefully can get to a show per year beyond listening here through LivePhish, but interestingly, my last four shows (OKC '12, Alpine night 1 '15, Vegas night 1 '16, and tonight) all played Light. Not sure why, yet interesting. My highlights from tonight: 1) Each member had a vocal feature in the first set. 2) Leo's solo in Ya Mar. 3) Simply SIMPLE especially the extended jam. 4) Cities with the Chicago skyline in the background. 5) The lighting was ON POINT. Unfortunately, this venue is flat, so it's hard to see the stage from the lawn, so luckily they did a great job with the cameras and huge video screen.

Great show. Trey has great tone, and band is gelling up well. Simple is relentless and a must listen. TimberHo teases. Light falls into the similar groove. Even Winterqueen had some sauce on it. Ignore trolls on here. Give it a listen, but listen to the whole set without interruption.
