"This was my brother’s first phish show and can’t ask for much more from a first show. He looked at me during Momma and said, “Now I get it!” But of course. The BOAF is something to behold. One of my personal favorite jams I’ve seen live in person. Glad he got to experience that. Just a solid solid Phish show and great experience! Thank you to the phan who helped me get my car out of the mud in the parking lot after the show btw. If you were there, you know how much of a mess the lot was getting in and out. But still one of my favorite venues and shakedowns out there…."

"I was at both this show and the next Blossom show in 2021 and the interesting thing is everybody loved that show better and I agree it was amazing that 46 days>YEM Reba that shit was epic but I actually preferred this show in person and have gone back and listen to the back half fourth quarter more than almost any show what was cool about the show was that it got better as the night went on. The divided sky was the first great part of the night where everybody was feeling it even though I love soul planet and maybe a new fans love it now after the burgettstown night 2 2023. Overall the second Blossom show more recently was probably better overall didn’t have a bad song. Even the cool down song shade was performed with heart technical precision treys vocals even sounded great and flowed well in the first set. But I guess I’m comparing this because it didn’t get his good a phish.net rating but that second set. I have listened to that birds of a feather probably 30 times now. The 2282003 it’s like the perfect short clean, very high energy, most technically killer version. But like tube for me, it’s about length to breathe, and in that case, funky breathing but with birds of a feather usually it’s about raw energy. This one had that, but it felt like a soaring eagle not so much a vulture pecking for seven minutes and then killing and leaving quickly. I am a long jam guy overall. Because even when there are moments, that aren’t perfect, it gives the band relaxation and improvisational time to find a cool groove. A perfect sound a mimic between trey in page bouncing ideas off each other or an epic bass solo which is rare from Mike. That’s why I love the beginning of Harry hood so much there’s actually improvisation even in the composed element right from the start. They don’t do it so much anymore though now it’s just 5 minutes in you know it’s going to be the slow beautiful, jam build. Whereas in the past, it could be seven minutes before the slow part. (The improvisational Reba Slave type build part). But there was no hood in either show, so what am I talking about? Ramble On? No. For me the show was all about a rockin birds of a feather walls of the cave should’ve been a great set closer, but it wasn’t perfect and it was too short. Again, what I liked about the show the most was that they did not run out of steam. It was quite the opposite. They seem to have more fun and energy as the night went on. That chalkust slave was so beautiful and I know everyone shits on a life beyond the dream but listen to this version. It is the debut in Phish nailed it out of the park with a grand slam. Mike’s bass hits these cool notes and Treys Guitar solo is just so beautiful. I had such a great smile on my face, leaving and taking two hours to find my car that night. Ironically, I could’ve biked there. I live 20 minutes from Blossom. Aaaaarrrrrgggggggg. Best trey lyrical, flub ever maybe he just said fuck it I’ll become a pirate isn’t that what they do while they’re young is live free spirited on the ocean. Soul planet opener is starting to make a lot more sense now in retrospect as to where Treys head was that night he was in a great mood, and it made the music amazing. 2015 was still better than both but I didn’t move to Ohio until 2016 missed it by one year. And the 1995 of course released pretty recently archival. 2015 is my favorite I mean Lizards come on best song ever. So at least I’m trying to squash my attendance bias."
