"Dez sounds amazing on the soundboard. The actual experience of the venue was more like an amorphous blob of low end. Amazing show still and I’m not saying anything negative about the performance. Trey sounded great. The horns sounded great and so did the drums and percussion. I felt like some of the piano, organ, and bass, suffered from either the acoustics or poor soundboard management. Streaming the show sounds absolutely incredible though. The stereo imaging is perfect so I’m guessing it was more of an acoustics issue. Dez adds so many flourishes to the seemingly simple bass lines but they didn’t translate live the way they do here. Same with some of rays fills that are so well articulated and clear as day on the soundboard. "
