"Definitely sounds like something was wrong with Mike 1st set. Reading the other reviews, seems as though the heat probably played a role in it."

"the bass playing on this does have problems. and I cant really say why cuz I'm not mike so I really don't know what was going on other than maybe technical issues. lots of rumours about why it is the way it is. whatever the problem was it doesn't really start resolving itself till I would say the second set as the ghost was a solid ghost as you can expect it to be. about this show: when it has bad spots its pretty bad but the good spots are really good."

" Set 1: the most queasy, nauseous grooves in Phishtory. Sounds like Mike's gonna puke every time he sings, and his deep gutteral tones and uneven groove just swirls with the vomit vibe. Nonetheless, there are occasional moments of brilliance in the jams of that set. Set two is much better, but from the sound of Haley's Comet, Mike doesn't really feel fully better till another night. His playing when he isn't singing is otherwise fine during round two."

"I haven't listened to this show since I was at it and I thought it was just me being jet lagged from flying in from South Korea and hitting the two previous shows pretty hard. While I was there something just seemed off. Listening to it now, it seems sub par for Phish's standards. It's not horrible. I can still listen to it all the way through. There's a few highlights. Wouldn't recommend spending money on it. Oh well. You win some, you lose some. I give it a 6 out of 10."

"The night we learned that Mike is not perfect. I feel so bad for him during Jim and Ya Mar. Anybody saying positive things about anything in this first set clearly has not actually listened. You can hear Trey chew Mike out after Ya Mar!!!! Basically, Mike was super hung over from the previous night. Huge dick move by Trey, putting him front and center so early. Its shows like this that make me appreciate how amazing he is now. Every phan should listen to this, to get perspective on how much Mike really does give to us now."
