"Excellent tweezer- though I was not there I was pretty dialed in by this point. DL’d it right after for the Friday believe it or not, which rips. Pared down essential phish, starkly minimal. Most avant-garde phish ta boot either this night or the other.."

"This show was one of my favorite shows that I have attended, and one of my fondest Phish show memories. It was by no means the best played show or incarnation of the band, but the live experience was one I will never forget. I flew cross country to see all three shows. I ended up meeting and hanging with few lads during the run, and had a great time. We sat first row on Mike side of the stage. The second night, during set break, one of the guys I was with came up with the idea of starting a wave. We turned around and after much prodding, managed to get our section to join it. The wave slowly caught on, and after a few near misses, we managed to send the wave around the arena. Third night set break, after our success with the wave, we decided to try and get the area to do the Meatstick dance. We turned around and again after some prodding, managed to get our section to join in. We continued with the dance and chanting, and pretty soon the other sections started to join in as well. Before long it seemed like the entire arena was dancing and chanting the Meatstick. When the band returned to the stage after set-break, the chant was still going. You could see their grins as they stopped and stared at the “spontaneous” arena-wide Meatstick. Trey walked over to Page to chat, the familiar first notes of Meatstick started playing, and the place erupted!"

"Chris Kuroda wasn't on lights and Fenton Williams sat in. The timing was off on a lot of the sequences, and I think this threw the band off quite a bit also. It kept the band pretty constrained. I ended up seeing 9 shows in 2004 including Vegas, Deer Creeks, Alpines, and Coventry. This show was one of the weakest of all 9. "

"they broke up soon after this, and not a minute too soon. I was at this Vegas run and they didn't seem like they were all on the same wave. Gordon and phish seemed to be on their own island, which is good for rhythm, but Trey... no voice, no balance, fell off trampoline,, maybe too late of a night in Vegas. Page was having fun. Crowd started Meatstick 10 minutes before they came back out for 2 nd set, Page starts in, place erupted. Still great time, great weekend."

"I am a newish Phish fan. Got into them around 2004, they broke up for 5 years and all the 2009 shows sold out before I could go. So I have never seen them live before but listen at home all the time. I am currently compiling all my favorite jams from Phish 2.0 and this show piqued my interest by constantly being mentioned as one of their worst shows ever. In fact I'd read all over the next this Vegas Run was one of the worst they'd ever done. My conclusion is this: There are flubs here and there and some parts of songs are messed up and the vocals aren't nearly as strong as 2003. Now onto what actually matters...even a "bad" show (whatever constitutes that is different for every phan) has at least a moment of genius and this show is no exception. I am luckily not a jaded fan that grew up with the band so feel some sort of ownership/authority over them. So to me, setlists don't mean shit. I could give a fuck about a setlist homie. These guys play hours upon hours of improvised music...that's what we love about them. A real phan shouldn't give a fuck about a flubbed part of a song if the jam is magnificent. If you're expecting perfection, go get a ticket to Yngiwie Malmsteen. If you want Phish to play every song/composed suite absolutely perfect, build a time machine and travel back to 1994. I would second what a previous reviewer said...all the old-fart, bitter tourheads from yesteryear need to retire and focus on raising their kids. Let us new generation of fans who have no expectations and go to the shows just to have a good time and hear fantastic music enjoy it without hearing all your complaints. Holla at me."
