Nectar Rorris, the proprietor, was happy to give us a gig despite our lack of experience, organization, or a song list long enough to last two sets. The night went well enough and soon we were playing a series of monthly three night stands - three sets a night on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Like countless other bands in Burlington's diverse music scene, those nights at Nectar's taught us how to play. We dedicate this album to Nectar Rorris for 16 years of bringing Burlington live music every night of the week with no cover, and the best fries this side of...France.

"This album changed my life and a few others I played it too while working in Montana the summer of 92 I saw them for the first time Playing at the Cubby Bear in Chicago around 1990 jumping up and down on the trampolines and then saw the CD randomly at a coconuts records and bought it I drove out to Montana and worked landscaping in Virginia City and we played it every single day and we all fell in love The few guys I played that CD for while working there are some of the most diehard fans ever now thank you, Phish"

"My personal fav phish album, llama is one of my all time favorite songs. Guelah. Great playing, the basic frame work for some heated jams as well as what some say are "songy" , though I call them more concise or concerted efforts. "

"I was first introduced to Phish in 1990, through a series of bootlegs from friends who went to school in VT & NH. Old, old stuff... I wish I still had access to these tapes. By '91 I had seen a handful of shows in small venues & was totally enthralled. When Nectar was released I was just graduating HS & I just remember going "wow - this band just hit me in the face with something that I just don't know how to respond to" ... so I turned it up, sat back & enjoyed the ride. Nectar is arguably their strongest studio effort, and is worth a listen & a half. "You're goin' to jail!""

"This album was the first time I heard of Phish from Vermont while in high school in 1992, was lucky to see them live shortly after & my life was changed thanks to the music from these 4 dudes that love to work & play hard. & we all reap the benefits. Phish rules! $$ grow the dank & bang a Skank "
