"Cities was that exact moment, when Mike became captain of Phish… although that didn’t last very long, it definitely was fun while it lasted! This was a wonderful moment in Phish history to be there in person for!"

" The harsh fact. I love Trey's soloing to death, but this Cities jam demonstrates the undeniable. Phish is at their best when Mike is the soloist and Trey fills in with rhythm. It sounds balanced and correct toy ears. We need more of this."

"Great show, they seemed to relax into it, but they always seem to get all turned around with gyute. It is a song that they can only get "mostly right" at best, but "it's Ice" more then makes up for it. The show, and this tour really proves that Trey plays and sounds better clean rather then in the opiate induced haze of the uber go nowhere jammy days of the early '00s. "

"I love great 1st sets and this is one. Came to Cali w/ Guyute on the brain and bang 2 songs in...my pals and I had been walking the streets whistling that infectious Trey puckered melody the day before. The set took off from there. The one thing I took away from 2nd leg is the majesty of RIFT songs. I do love when this band jams but I have become such a fan of Phish songs. So when It's Ice came sliding out of another scorching Ocelot this kid was quite happy. Then it was time for that nasty Cities we all collectively grooved upon. Cactus just took the reigns with his pal Fish laying his multi-layered rhythms and of course stage right filled in the descending funk groove. Trey so simple and delicious and Page keeping the band honest with the magic Clav. What I do enjoy about 3.0 is the fact that don't let things go on too long. They make their point and move on. Was not expecting the Moma but the cool summer breeze kept me from overheating. Cactus just kept getting stronger and funkier. He and Fish can own this band anytime they want. Then the highlight that gets no love...GIN is why I continue to blow my cash on this band. Trey builds and builds this jam while Mike just kept throwing these descending bass lines that had me beaming from ear to ear. How Jon keeps up with this makes me question if the doughnut dress is bionic. Of course STFTFP is a perfect set closer. Melt my face any day boys. Do not listen to Mr Miner about the 2nd set Ghost-Mikes segue. It's not that bad. The whole band can't always be perfect. Mikes still rips, the Simple enters cosmic realms and the. YEM set closer was a welcome surprise. U can wash my-fizzi anytime u glorious, glorious band. Good Times, Bad Times indeed. Peace. "

"The first set was killer. The Cities jam is what Phish is all about for me. Lay down the cycles of robo-funk and queue the whale noises. "
