Show Notes

* At the end of Set One Page and Trey carried a giant cake shaped like a keyboard across the stage in front of a cardboard mountain, reminiscient of the cover photo on Colorado '88.  The band members then handed out pieces of the cake to the audience. * Phish performed Set Two in the center of the Madison Square Garden floor on top of Phish's first equipment truck.  The band members played their vintage 1983 instruments. * Before the encore Phish showed a video montage celebrating their 30 year career. * Order all four MSG shows and Save 10%   Credits: * AC/DC Bag (Anastasio) * A Song I Heard The Ocean Sing (Anastasio/Herman/Marshall) * Wilson (Anastasio/Marshall/Woolf) * The Divided Sky (Anastasio) * Ocelot (Anastasio/Marshall) * Sugar Shack (Gordon) * Halfway To The Moon (McConnell)* * Fluffhead (Anastasio/Pollak) * 30th Anniversary Cake Distribution (Anastasio/Fishman/Gordon/Marshall/McConnell) * Glide (Anastasio/Fishman/Gordon/Marshall/McConnell) * Llama (Anastasio) * Colonel Forbin's Ascent (Anastasio) * Fly Famous Mockingbird (Anastasio) * Fuck Your Face (Gordon) * Reba (Anastasio) * Icculus (Anastasio/Marshall) * The Lizards (Anastasio) * Split Open and Melt (Anastasio) * Character Zero (Anastasio/Marshall) * Auld Lang Syne (Traditional**) * Fuego (Anastasio/Fishman/Gordon/McConnell) * Light (Anastasio/Marshall) * Twenty Years Later (Anastasio/Marshall) * Bouncing Around the Room (Anastasio/Marshall) * You Enjoy Myself (Anastasio) * Grind (Anastasio/Marshall) * Show of Life (Anastasio/Pollak)# All songs copyright Who Is She? "This was my first Phish show!! Quality playing, certainly worth a listen. "

"Came back ten years later to say this was a killer show and relistening to it makes me super happy. The reason I thought to come listen is specifically the second set where they’re playing on stripped down instruments. I was at a school talent show and heard some kids playing their little cute band (which sounded decent but terrible compared to phish obviously), and they were playing a guitar, bass, keyboard, and drum set… and it occurred to me that it’s not like phish is playing DIFFERENT instruments that are more “magically awesome sounding.” So please give this second set a listen and think of it this way… these four guys from Vermont are able to use those exact same four instruments and microphones TO MAKE THIS SOUND WE LOVE SO MUCH. It’s incredible. "
