"Unbelievable CDT > gin opener. Especially that Gin, wow. Crazy that it’s the first two songs of the night. Set the tone for a sick show. "

"My first show. Just listen to the crowd before Chalkdust, people were losing their minds. The Chalkdust > Bathtub is awesome. The 46 Days is a great version too."

"the Hampton run (especially this one) are my go to shows. when I cant make up my mind I put this one on. a great Chalk Dust opener, Bathtub Gin, Round Room and Stash on set I. and the song debuts on set II are great. and thoroughly enjoyed the Simple on this one as well. the band as a whole plays great on this. but Mike really shines on this. I'm a big fan of Hampton Comes Alive and they bring that magic back at this venue. the Hampton '03 run and IT are the shows i'd recommend to newcomers."

"First off I'm pretty much relistening to all of 2003/2004. I started seeing phish in '99 and love all eras but am very drawn to the jamming of 2003-2004. The robofunk, plinko jams, dark space, sonic washes, multi instrument digital delay loop jams(whereas only trey used to loop by 2003 mike and page are also), the tower jam motif style jams that existed before and after IT as well as obviously THE jam itself, ambient space jams, space launch motif jams....etc. There is just such a clear attempt at continuing the direction they were going starting with the island tour(well really actually goes all way back to 96' Halloween) and the Lemonwheel ambient jam in 1998, on to the DDJ space jams of 99' to the fukokua-style jams in 2000 (Darien as well good example) and that brings us to this Hampton show. I love when they open with an energetic chalk dust. Whether it goes exploratory or not I just think it sets off show with right mood. Standalone it's not my ALLTIME fav song but like it here jammed out and energetic. They get deep quik. Gin as well goes deep first set. Very diff. This seminal round room is so understated to me in it's beauty. I like this song. Really really love this song and this version. The dark space ambient jam they get into is so poignant that you don't even realize it's only a 6 or so min song. It still went somewhere special. Love it! Anyway I could go on about the very nice (although nowhere near as good as IT VERSION) 46 days that stretches out real good. But many have discussed second set. Just a lot to like here. And I think any mistakes certain people want to dwell on are really dwarfed by the very intriguing new sound that they are demonstrating on various songs and overall. That's the other thing you never know what normal song they're going to change up on. Love it and think it's a real underrated period in phish history. This stash is real cool too. The biggest thing I notice here is trey is mixing 150% hendrixian rage with subtlety that would make Jerry happy, and crazy innovative and exploratory effects control and chromatic phrasings/modulations worthy of the free jazz moniker at times showing the Jeff beck and Zappa influences not to mention the sonic landscapes trey weaves reminiscent of what Brian eno and robert frick do in the studio while here trey is doing it In a live music application making it that much more special. It's just very special and people who write it off are missing out on some of the best phish jams the band has ever had to offer. Period. That's my bit. Peaceout "
