"First set is good, nothing mind blowing but solid, fun Phish. Second set kicks off with a big, nasty, dark Piper that flows nicely into Rock and Roll. Seven Below and Caspian are both above average too. The best jam of the night is YEM. It’s played well and the boys launch into an awesome upbeat groove that just builds and builds. Mike and Fish own this. "

"Seen this band well over 100 times and love them to death. This show is standard fare for 2003......In other words, pretty awesome. Solid 1st set with good versions of Reba, Maze, Scents and Julius. However I must comment (I was at this show "physically") this Piper is where to go when you need to release. I mean Trey is no less than 5min into this song and then he detaches fom the band for about 15min before the rest of the band join back in. For those who enjoy the pre-Oxy overload Trey jam with some cohesion, this song is for you (and the whole summer tour for that matter). Some people say the boys were over the hill by 2003 but shit didn't hit the fan as far as Trey's decline until AFTER this tour. IMHO, winter 2003 and 2004 were not up to par. Listen to the NYE 2003 run versus this summer tour and you can "smell" the addiction about to over take Trey. BTW, the 2009-2011 band (i.e. 3.0) is decent but man do I yearn for 1996-2003!"
