Mound is Great 8/5/2013 6:52:16 AM

"IMO, Mound is one of Phish's most innovative songs (along with Esther), so this is just an attempt to not let those in the dark see the comment about Mound not being a good song steer them away. Give the song a chance! The lyrics are scary good and the composed and improv jazz fusion sections are genius. See Watkins Glen Super Ball 9 for one of the best Mounds ever; LivePhish Vol. 7 and Rift studio versions are also incredible, but so are most versions!"

"My son begged me to drive him out to RedRocks.from NJ. I wish I did. We did the whole east tour and we're not that nasty on the east coast. He passed away 9/6/11 but I swear he could always commincate with Trey about a special song he wanted to hear. He always wore the Gilligan hat if you remeber him. I will miss him forever."

"Son, I went to all 4 nights at Red Rocks, they were all a blast! I must admit though, Hartford which followed BLEW the doors off of any 1 of the Red Rocks shows in summer 09. IMHO Hartford was the gem of 09 period. The EAST is where the boyz rock the hardest my lad. Almost every legendary PHISH festival has been in the east, northeast specifically. Besides, half the people living in CO are east coast transplants anyway. Go download Hartford STAT. Peace."

"East coast fans are loud, annoying, frat boy douchebags... The west is the best... Come out here and we'll do the rest."

"In response to comments that west coast crowds don't seem as excited as east coast. Remember that the shows at Red Rocks and the upcoming shows at Greek are attended by people from around the world more than locally. These are shows to BE at. Like New Years, Halloween etc.... The crowds at these shows simply act like they've been there before. They don't go crazy for each note. Also, west coast fans are generally more laid back. West coast shows are different than east coast. The music comes from a deeper place sometimes. It seems to rise from the center of the earth and emerge like a behemoth. Listen to the jams from last years Red Rocks and you'll get a sense of what I'm talking about. The possibilities for the Greek shows are staggering to contemplate. Get Ready ....."
