"still a 5 star show in 2024"

"The second set just didn't do it for me. Meatstick >> saw it again was cool but transition was sloppy. Piper had lots of cool improv but from that point on the show was a bit boring. Contact brought some new life and you enjoy myself rocked as always. Encore fire was cool an unexpected. Good show overall phish had fun doing this show. I'd give it a listen before buying tho. "

"Teases in antelope. Just noting"

The Gin.... 9/8/2011 10:11:33 PM

"Out of all the 2010 shows I listen to, I keep coming back to this one. The energy was just right from the get go. I listen to the Bathtub Gin on the spin bike or treadmill, and it works me in to a frenzy. Best version ever. Wish I had been at this show!"

DOO all yeah RiGhT! 5/13/2011 5:32:21 AM

" All the talk about this being a squescial show, you guys and gals... ugh! Well, they had some extraordinary moments, but a lot of missed notes and what? WHAT? Also, the big jam gets noisy! Really really noisy! Hell, I'll take my Aug. 18, 2010 over this one. That's noisy as well, but I like the mix better. And with regard to noisy, I get repeated joy out of listening to 12.30.2010. Trey sounds like he burns himself out in that first set, and then gives 110% more for set 2, and still attempts an Antelope in the encore. Some of the peaks of this show are extraordinary, but I'm not convinced it wasn't the drugs. There's some dragging of the rhythm in set 2, and they land a bit during Contact. If they played hard over all obstacles sober, they could eventually break through into something far more extraordinary than this, and they would be able to do it every night! The show is good, but I like more out of a jam than chaos and noise. The crowd chanting "saw it again" in the vocal jam is an indication that this was probably the best show of that summer tour to attend. For my tastes, it doesn't quite translate, with certain exceptions that rank in the best of the modern era. Ah, but what do neurotic critics know anyway? Ha!"
